It is hard to believe that it has already been a week....Monique has made so much headway. The best news is that she is out of the ICU and making some great progress.
She is eating solid foods, has had one of her chest tubes removed and been fitted with a thoracic/cervicle brace. The PT had her standing for a few moments too!
She is amazing, but this is no surprise!
As much as all of you want to visit Monique, and I know some of you have, she has asked that maybe we refrain right now as hard as it is. She is still in a lot of pain and has to be constantly moved, which is exhausting too. She has access to her cell phone at times and says it is almost easier to just talk to people rather then see them at this moment. Now let's just hope she turns her phone off when she needs to rest!!
I know she can receive flowers, cards, etc.
I know everyone's undying support has really helped...keep it coming!
